The system continuously optimizes the system's operating point, improving energy yield even in the presence of partial shading. This allows you to reduce production losses without necessarily having to install additional hardware optimizers under the modules, simplifying the system and reducing costs. Integrated System Manager: centralized control of the system One of the main innovations of the Sunny Tripower X series is the integrated System Manager. The inverter not only performs the energy conversion function, but becomes the true control center of the commercial photovoltaic system. The system can directly manage up to 5 subordinate inverters and 1 energy meter, eliminating in many cases the need for external data loggers on systems up to 135 kW. Management is via Sunny Portal powered by ennexOS, the SMA platform that enables advanced monitoring, dynamic management of active and reactive power, and intelligent control of energy flows. Simple installation and quick commissioning Despite its high performance, the Sunny Tripower X maintains a compact and easy-to-install design. The low weight and optimised structure facilitate wall mounting, while for flat roofs an optional kit is available for near-horizontal installation, ideal for reducing visual impact. Commissioning is done via an intuitive WebUI, which simplifies all configuration and initial commissioning operations. During this phase it is important to correctly calibrate the basic parameters, so as to ensure efficient communication between the System Manager and the plant monitoring systems. Electrical safety and advanced cybersecurity To ensure maximum operational safety, SMA integrates SMA ArcFix technology, the advanced system for proactive detection and interruption of electrical arcs, into the Sunny Tripower X. From a cybersecurity perspective, the 50 and 60 kW models comply with high European cybersecurity standards, compliant with the EU-RED directive (EN 18031-1) and the ETSI EN 303 645 standard. The platform also uses encrypted communications via Speedwire Encrypted Communication, automatic firmware updates, and data hosting exclusively on servers located in the European Union. Automatic monitoring with SMA Smart Connected Thanks to the SMA Smart Connected service, the system automatically monitors the operation of the inverter 24/7. In the event of anomalies or faults, the service sends automatic notifications to the installer, enabling rapid intervention and minimizing system downtime.
